NPP Rejects Claims Of Parliamentary Leadership Reshuffle

The New Patriotic Party has firmly dismissed reports suggesting that it is preparing to reshuffle its leadership in the Parliament of Ghana.

Speaking on the matter, the party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, described the claims as unfounded and misleading. According to him, there has been no discussion within the party’s hierarchy about changing its parliamentary leadership, and no such decision is being considered.

Rumours had circulated in political circles that the NPP was reviewing its front bench leadership in Parliament following recent internal consultations. However, Kodua clarified that the party remains confident in its current leadership team and sees no immediate need for alterations.

He emphasised that the focus of the party is on strengthening its parliamentary strategy, advancing policy alternatives, and holding the government accountable where necessary. He added that internal unity and stability remain critical as the party reorganises and prepares for future political engagements.

The General Secretary further urged party supporters and the public to disregard speculation and rely on official communication from the party. He stressed that any major decision regarding leadership would be formally communicated through the appropriate structures.

The statement is expected to calm tensions among party members and supporters who had expressed concern over the reported changes. For now, the NPP leadership structure in Parliament remains unchanged.
