Nana Agradaa Released From Prison After Serving Part Of Her Sentence

Evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, has been released from prison after serving eight months of her jail term. She walked out of Nsawam Medium Security Prison and has since reunited with her husband and family.
Her husband posted online early Tuesday, March 3, expressing gratitude and relief at her return home, thanking supporters and well-wishers for their prayers during her incarceration. Plans are under way for her to attend church fellowship later in the day, marking her first public appearance since her release.
Nana Agradaa was initially sentenced in July 2025 to 15 years in prison after being convicted of defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertisement — charges connected to her activities as a televangelist.
Her legal team successfully challenged the severity of the original sentence, and the Amasaman High Court later reduced it to 12 calendar months, ruling that the earlier term was excessive. Under Ghana’s standard remission rules, she became eligible for release after serving two-thirds of the revised sentence.
The release of Nana Agradaa has drawn attention both in traditional media and on social platforms, with videos of her reunion with family shared shortly after she left custody.
