Chez Amis CEO Speaks Out To Deny NACOC Arrest Claims

The Chief Executive Officer of Chez Amis has broken her silence to firmly dismiss rumours linking her to an alleged arrest by the Narcotics Control Commission. The claims, which spread rapidly across social media platforms, suggested that she had been picked up by authorities in connection with a recent drug interception case at Kotoka International Airport.

In a video shared online, the businesswoman, popularly known as Big Cheezy, refuted the allegations and described them as completely false. She appeared calm and composed in the clip, recording from her restaurant premises in East Legon to demonstrate that she was not in custody as speculated. She insisted she had no involvement in any narcotics related activity and urged the public not to believe everything circulated online.

The rumours reportedly emerged after NACOC arrested a senior manager of a well known Ghanaian food company in connection with narcotics concealed in packaged gari. Following that development, some online users began associating the Chez Amis CEO with the case without any confirmed evidence. The speculation quickly gained traction, prompting her to publicly respond and clear her name.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions. While some social media users criticised the spread of unverified information, others defended her and called for greater responsibility when discussing sensitive matters online. The situation highlights the speed at which misinformation can circulate and the reputational damage it can cause.

As investigations into the intercepted narcotics continue, the Chez Amis CEO maintains that she remains focused on her business operations and has no connection to the ongoing case.
