Agyeman-Rawlings Family Rejects Fake Will And Warns Of Legal Action

The family of the late former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has strongly rejected claims that a will attributed to her is genuine and has warned that legal action may follow against those spreading the document. This follows the circulation of a purported will on social media that the family says is fabricated and false.

In an official statement issued on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the family described the document as a “concocted fabrication” and urged members of the public to treat it with contempt. The statement said the alleged will did not originate from any authorised source connected to Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings or her relatives.

The family stressed that the publication of the false document is deeply hurtful during a time when they are still mourning the loss of the former First Lady. They called on the public and the media to respect her dignity and reputation and to accord the family privacy at a difficult time.

The notice was signed by Kobina Andoh Amoakwa on behalf of the Agyeman-Rawlings family. The family also indicated that appropriate steps are being taken to address the spread of the false information and that legal remedies could be pursued against those responsible.

The warning comes amid ongoing conversations online about legacy documents and misinformation. Supporters of the late First Lady have echoed the family’s concerns and urged people not to share or amplify unverified publications. The former First Lady passed away in October 2025 and was honoured with a state funeral later that year. Her passing prompted a national outpouring of grief and tributes from political figures and citizens alike.
